Summary

The future is here! Larkin shares the latest IOT device integrations from the affluent Seattle suburbs, from wireless phone charging car dashboards to smart home iphone app controls to Amazon Go stores… We talk about Seth Godin’s quote, “Do what you love is for amateurs, love what you do is for professionals,” “dust life,” the transition from 2020 and the moment of change in which we’re poised, the three billionaires going to space, shifts in approaches to mental health (which Katy as a trained psychotherapist can attest needs a major upgrade) helped in part by people like Michael Pollan and the mental health stresses of 2020, and Larkin’s trip to the Olympic Mountains on Washington’s beautiful Olympic Peninsula.

In this *Starshine* Episode, Katy had some corrections to Episode 14’s *Starshine* Planner launch episode, advocates for speculating and being in inquiry in astrology. When we looked at the current Mars-Venus saga (Mars and Venus aligned on July 13 but the best view of the alignment was the evening of July 12, with the crescent moon above them) and the realization that this particular Mars-Venus conjunction is inherently bittersweet. Plus a look at Chiron that brings us full circle to Mount Olympus!

Update: Katy did experience the Mars-Venus conjunction in a literal way that related to new opportunities for work and income. Still in development and very much in keeping with the arc of Mars’ upcoming journey off the stage, but nonetheless, interesting.

Corrections to *Starshine* Episode 14: 1) The exact alignment of retrograde Mercury with the sun occurred half a day after the eclipse, not before it. 2) It is not rare but the norm for planets to go through a stationary point when changing directions. Apparently, I had recently changed a setting in my astrology software and hadn’t noticed this before it began displaying the stationary periods for me. However, it isn’t part of the astrological traditions around the planetary cycles, especially the Mercury cycle, to my knowledge. 3) Various astrological traditions have Mercury teachings, and Shamanic Astrology has a much more extensive tradition than most. I simply feel that there are big gaps and that this year, more information about Mercury is emerging in synchronistic timing with the close alignment of the beginning of the Master Mercury cycle and the June 2021 solar eclipse in Gemini. Details and tracking here:

Coming soon we look at the next *Starshine* Astrology Planner which covers the month of the Sun in Leo from July 22 – August 22, 2021.
